Talking Cock and Sing Along

Today, i was complaining to Bud about me being single for quite sometime. And the reason he gave me was because i'm fussy, thats why i'm still single.
Wah liew.

Cannot be fussy meh.

Frankly, it's really not hard finding any Tom, Dick Harry to be your bf. Of course you want the perfect person to be your bf right, why should i compromise my expectations? I don't see anyone who fits the bill, then obviously i won't go pursue a rship with him. Duh

And lately, i realised that i'm always attracted to the wrong type of guys.
Guys who are really really gentlemanly, really smart, have this special chivalry and posesse this special charisma.. are the type of guys i'm not interested in. Or rather, can't find this special connection with. I don't know why. Is that why they always say nice guys finish last? Yes i admit, they are way way way way toooooo nice. And maybe thats why i find it abit boring. You know, the dating phase is supposed to be interesting, filled with suspense, mystery and unpredictabilities.. Nice guys usually make the dating phase predictable, boring, and very routine. Where is the supplies! (surprise)

Yeah, i know yoou're probably cursing me now saying "But i thought you like nice guys who are gentlemen, and smart blah blah blah". Haha. Actually, im not sure myself. Okay, maybe i like nice guys, but not too nice guys. I don't like too perfect guys also, because they make me so conscious of myself that i can't even bring myself to act silly in front of them. I gotta be so prim and proper on dates and stuff. Sometimes, being too prim all the time can be really tiring. I'm not really that extreme perfectionist, but to go out with a guy who makes sures the dates go perfectly well all the time..can be a little intimidating. Cut some slack man!

I just need someone who can make me comfortable with who i am.
I realised i'm not that comfortable with that many guys.
this is really weird.

Yeah i know i'm super bored! I just need to get to know myself a little more

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven... the next moment hell.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.

Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

what a moron

Wholemeal has never tasted so good...

Usually, when i wake up in the morning, and you offer me bread for breakfast, its akin to asking for a punch in your face. Worse, if you offer me wholemeal bread. I hate wholemeal. I don't need to know about the goodness of fibre and shit.

And i really hate my kitchen. It has nothing too unhealthy. The usuals i always see are wholemeal bread, oats, oatmeal cracckers, multi-grain stuff, plain crackers. Its more oats and fibres. Like HELLO, Welcome to the Seow's Organic Farm, located strategically in the kitchen. Fuck man, i hate oats and wholemeal. I don't know why my parents like it so much. And as you can tell, when i'm at home, i barely eat.

So lately, i have insomnia, and now my circadian rhythm is pushed back (or pushed forward, whichever way you like) by about 6 hours. I eat my first meal at 2pm. And, then i eat my last meal at 3am because i get super hungry, and i could feel blood glucose level dipping to rock bottom. So then, i'm left with no choice but this whole variety of wholemeal/oats products!
Yesterday, i had wholemeal bread with cheese
Today, i had wholemeal bread with nutella

Fuck man, beggars can't be choosers right? I had to fill my damn stomach!

My gawd, try eating something you hate when you're fucking hungry, like those ethopian kid starving because of famine, and i assure you, that food which you hate, will taste like the best thing ever! (only for that moment), becuz tmr when i wake up, i will still hate wholemeal bread.

Wah lau, my parents should buy better food next time
And stop 'starving' me with all these disgusting organic wheaty food. Makes me sick.
Oh, and guess what, they even bought the Koka Low Fat Instant Noodles. Fuck man! taste like rubber, not even tasty, i think i'd rather eat my dog's canned food.

Food digested
Goodnight one and all

p/s: Hobs, and recently, this ex church friend of ours (you know him
) kept msning me and asking to meet up etc. After how many fucking years since we've stopped attending cathechism classes! 6 bloody years since i've met him!
yuck. not that he's ugly but...ahahaha

So whose starsign is Pisces?

Your True Love Is a Pisces

Why you'll love a Pisces:

Selfless and intuitive, you are perfect for a Pisces that lives to love you.
You're sensitive enough to appreciate and explore the deep emotions of a Pisces.

Why a Pisces will love you:

You're generous and totally giving in relationships, something Pisces demands.
You are also dreamy enough to get lost in fantasy with Pisces, but realistic enough to stay grounded.

Shop Girl

I watched Shopgirl last night.
I kinda wanted to do a review on it yesterday, but i was too lazy.
I'm abit lazy today too.

But here's a summary of the shop

Mirabelle (claire daines) is a shop assistant at Saks Fifth Avenue. One day, she met Jeremy (played by i dunno who) at the laundramat. He picked her up, and then for all you know, they were sleeping with each other. Jeremy is this yucky jobless bum, no class, no nothing, didn't even bring a rubber when he had sex with her. he brought a packet of mint out, thinking it was a condom.

Then one day, Mirabelle got picked up by a customer, Ray, a 50 odd year old man(Steve Martins) at the store. He bought her nice expensive stuff. He gave her material wants. Flew her in his private jet to NY, brought her to nice places for dinner. Mirabelle stopped seeing Jeremy after she met Ray. Of course, she slept with Ray as well

Jeremy went on a band tour for couple of months, bought tonnes of dating books to enrich his life. Mirabelle on the other hand was having the time of her life, even though Ray thought her "there willl not be any future between us". Strange. Ray's always out of town for biz and stuff, i guess what Ray needed was companionship.

One day, Ray slept with this girl, and admitted to Mirabelle about it. She was upset of course. But they made up to each other. And one day, Mirabelle asked, "have you ever really loved me", Ray said with such indifference, "i thought you already understood that we can never be together" Mirabelle finally walked out on him

Jem, on the other hand, came back from his tour. He changed for the better. Nice clothings, nice hair cut, even better personality. yada yada

Mirabelle ended up with Jem, and one day, she bumped into Ray at the art gallery. Ray was with another lady. Mirabelle asked about his life blah blah. And then Ray told her.."actually, i did love you"

And, thats how i got that quote, how Ray only wanted part of Mirabelle, and not all of her. You know, like wanting to see her only when if he feels like it and stuff

Hmm...so maybe... rich men can't provide genuine love to a women. While a poor pauper could give all the love in the world, to make up for the wealth that they lack (PUI, wat rubbish). Jeremy here in this case, isn't a living testiment to represent all the guys out there in the real world.. So you see, in reality, even poor paupers can't give true love, i'd rather go for the rich men then. At least i get like nice Frank Muller watches or something, because either way, whoever you love, your love might not be reciprocated?

I've got something really to be proud of today.
I drove to suntec alone.
parked on my own
Drove back alone
How cool is that?

aren't ya proud of me?

What's In A Name?

Recently, i've made this observation that...

Most 'Michaels' or 'Mike' are cute. Heh :)

However, this statement would have to exclude
1. Michael Jackon
2. Nicholas Michael Koh (haha, sorry nicky, i know you beg to differ)

I quite like the name Michael. Sounds very authentic and has this classic touch to it. Just like how David is a nice name too.
And screw names like Jackon, Zen, Arason, Tommy, Kelvyn (and not Kelvin), all these weird irritating spellings. Yuck.

On a lighter note, I watched the movie Pride and Prejudice. It was an utter disappointment, albeit the nice scenary, settings, costumes, and most definitely accent. The plot wasn't as indept as the book. Everything in book was compressed in 2 hours. They missed out certain essence of the book. Everything was so fast moving. I mean, if they can make Titanic and LOTR 3 freaking hours long, why can't they make a classic that long as well.

It's no Romeo & Juliet this time. Star-crossed lovers, who do foolish crap because of family disputes. Capulet vs Montague. Its about pragmatism, practicality and just being plain down to earth. It's about following one's heart, going for who and what you one, without giving two shits about social stigma. That's true love. You don't bother about being judged for liking someone, whom others may not like, or see differently. Its that simple and pure. As long as the two are happy, nothing else matters.

On the other hand, Shakespeares works can be good reads, but sometimes, its a whole load of bollocks. Merchant of Venice (cutting a pound of flesh), Macbeth (stupid witchery). Maybe the better ones are like Othello.

Goo Goo Dolls - Better Days

And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just the chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cause I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And designer love and empty things
Just the chance that maybe we'll find better days

So take these words and sing out loud
Cause everyone is forgiven now
Cause tonight's the night the world begins again

I need someplace simple where we can live
And something only you can give
And that's faith and trust and peace while we're alive
And the one poor Child who saved this world
And there's ten million more who probably could
If we all just stopped and said a prayer for them

So take these words and sing out loud
Cause everyone is forgiven now
Cause tonight's the night the world begins again

I wish everyone was loved tonight
And somehow stop this endless fight
Just the chance that maybe we'll find better days

So take these words and sing out loud
Cause everyone is forgiven now
Cause tonight's the night the world begins again
Cause tonight's the night the world begins again

After reading my old blog, (since i couldn't find better reads), i've promised myself never to let any guy hurt me, nor waste any tears on them.

It's funny how past vulnerability could serve as such an invaluable lesson.

I must always be strong!
And never ever cry over love.

usual ramblings

i was called up for a job interview this afternoon, scheduled on friday
but you know what, i don't think i wanna go for it. I got this pretty bad feeling about it. I mean, afterall, its a job i wouldn't want to take up, nor imagine myself to be in that line in the next 10 years.
Now what fucking job is this?

Wealth management aka financial advisor aka....fucking insurance selling agent

In truth, i don't exactly have good vibes about such a career. Yeah, call me a skeptic. I'm that biased. Well you see, of course ppl in that line would telll you oh..how a couple of them in that line made in to the million dollar round table and stuff. But hey, how many percent of a whole herd of these buggers (sorry, no offence ahkow) actually made it that far? For one, i don't exactly have the gift of a gap. i can't really sales talk and psycho people, because if i did, i would've become a politician instead. Young PAP. Oh wow, such aspirations. But now. I hate to be at becks and calls of people, i hate to have to 'beg' them. I know, i don't have such rights to say this, who am i kidding, because im gonna be working under a boss next time.

My point is, i really hate persuading people, as much as i hate people persuading me because i'm simpy too stubborn for my own fucking good. Oh well, typical arian traits you say. You're right about that. I am stubborn, and sometimes, non-obliging. haha.

Oh, yeah, back to some rubbish..
I'm printing my scientific journals now. i've managed to finish 3 journals in 1 hr. Speed reading works eh? I have to finish up 6 ecology journals, then do a mini report on them. I'm reading shit about copepods and their egg production, i'm also reading about shallow-diving seabirds and their locomotion. I admire ecologist, for their patience put into new discoveries. I never knew observing birds for 3 years, could earn them an excellent nobel prize for that matter. Yeah, 3 frigging years! And its not just observing, its about doing statistical calculations too, to prove one's hypothesis. Great job scientists. (though i know i myself never gonna end up like you guys)

I need to study
I need to study
I need to study
I need to study
I need to study
I need to study
I need to study
I need to study
I need to study

But i've got a headache now

Foo Fighters - The Deepest Blues Are Black

Shame on you
Seducing everyone
Faded you
Your diamond in the rough

You don't have to tell me
I know where you've been
Shinning once again

Will you do
The thing you've always done
Tell me true
I think you know the one

One that makes me blurry
Colors start to run

Everytime I wonder
I go under

The deeper the blues
The more I see black
Sweeter the brew the feeling starts coming back
All the deepest blues are black

How my mind is spinning
And my head is going numb
Right from the beginning
Our ending had begun
I can be your trouble
Shiver into you
Shaking like the thunder
Sinking under

The deeper the blues, the more I see black
The sweeter the bruise, the feeling starts coming back
All the deepest blues are black

When it comes closing in
Reject
Cause I gotta move
And the simple things get in the openings
Connect
Become something new
To remove

The deeper the blues, the more I see black
The sweeter the bruise, the feeling starts coming back
All the deepest blues are black

Belamut Field trip?

Pretty absolutely fucking tiring day.

It started off with my morning stroll. Took me 30 mins to get to Science. I was walking all alone by myself on the road. No signs of cars, ppl nor birds. Just me. Thank god it wasn't too dark, and definitely much cooling to be out there. I walked past several scary houses, peered into them, but decided not to stare at it for too long, just in case i see something.
Then i walked past a lamp post. Initially, it was well lited, then after i walked passed it, it started to flicker. And after when i looked back, it was back to normal again. This happened like twice throughout my entire walk. I'm not saying that there's ghost or anything, but i read it somewhere, that some ppl have charges in them, that cause all these shit to happen. And i believe i have these weird electrical charges in me. No one believed me the last time. Now here's the damn proof!

There was this period of time, i had this strange electrical charge shit in me. Each time i held onto the train metal poles, i either a) get a static b) heat the damn poles up. I know it sounds really bullshit. Its up to you to believe me.

So back to the walk, was thinking through alot of things. (its pretty amazing how im able to think about things, rather than to worry about whats lurking ard me) Then i had this puzzling thought: can exes really be good friends? I know of many who had severed ties with exes, wipe them out totally from their lives. And as for me, I don't know.

Building a mystery

There are so many things in life and things about human beings which i can't seem to fathom.
No wonder they always say life is a mystery.
Or maybe human beings are just plain complex, thats why life gets so confusing sometimes

You do something to me, that i can't explain.....

Being randomly random

Do you know what the above picture is? It's not a pen, not a candy, nor a light stick.
For all those naive twerps who's been wondering how a tampon looks like, may i present you two different sort. The one with applicator (above) and the one just a tampon by itself (below). What's an applicator? Its just a piece of cardboard to facilitate the entire process of putting on one. I hope i've cleared all your doubts! Yes, Tampons are THAT small! Amazing eh?
Why some prefer to wear tampons over sanitary pads. Well, it really depends on personal preference. Usually, ppl who have to do water sports, would wear tampons (duh), if not their pads end up getting soaked up with seawater than what its supposed to absorb.

Bloody hell, this was what i found in the washing machine. Where's the other half!!!!!!

And my commencement letter has arrived. So, even before i can even take my final paper, they've already confirmed my graduation?

And guess what, the alignment of my pictures is just as random (read: screwed up) as this bloody post.

Crazy Fucking Week

This week has been insane.
i've been acting pretty much like a mad woman, thats because i'm feeling shitty
I've got so much shit to accomplish.

I don't know what the heck im doing with my life.
I've got a test again this week, and i feel this immense pressure to do well again. Grr. I'm really sick and tired of having ppl asking my questions about physio. Acing one test, doesnt make me a walking encyclopedia. I haven't fucking studied yet. Gawd.

And then there's eco assignment. I was given 5 weeks to finish. 4 weeks have passed, and i havent started. Fucking pain in the ass.

And there's resumes and cover letters to be sent out

Collection of my passport

packing of my room

The project research report to be handed in soon

Recruitment talks to attend

My parents constant nagging about my future.

Gees man

I wish someone would just drop a damn fucking bomb on this piece of booger (tiny island, Singapore).

Gawd damn it!

The Theory of An Anger Filled Square

Disclaimer: This theory is may not be an accurate interpretation. It is a general assumption and personal perception.

This is by no means a schematic representation of the theory

Assumptions:

I am A.
A and D had shared this secret B and never C knew.
A, B, C and D are angry people

Hypothesis:

A is not in the wrong.

Theoretical Background:

One fine day, A decided to tell B a secret about her personal life. A made B promise never to breathe a word to a single soul. B on the other hand, found the secret too overwhelming, had to open his big fat mouth, and let C into the secret.

On another day, D was telling C about the same secret as well. C admitted into knowing the secret even before D told him. Then, A found out through D that C actually knew the secret! A was way too disappointed in B, so A confronted B about it. And B confronted C. And C confronted D. And D confronted A. This is a chain reaction, which inadvertedly forms the Square of Anger.

Results:

B started yelling at C for not acting blur about knowing the secret. And i'm assuming that C is mad at D for telling A who he had heard the secret from (ie, B). And because C was mad at D, D blew his top by yelling over the phone when he called A. D even told A that why the fuck A had to confront D about it. KNN! It's A secret's who was being leaked out, why can't A confront the person who let the cat out of the bag?

Discussion:

Of course, at this point of time, A felt that she didn't even desereved to be fucking yelled at. It was fucking ppl like B, C, D who leaked A's secret! On what basis, do they have the fucking right to be mad at A. If anything, A should be the one getting pissed at B, C, D.

A didn't take things to heart, so wasn't all that mad at B for opening his big fat mouth. however, i think C was annoyed, because B yelled at him. Theoretically speaking, he shouldn't even be annoyed because he didn't keep the damn secret! He had to admit it.. See, this brings me to another theory on Reverse Psychology. If you want a person to admit something, sometimes you gotta probe them this way. People would usually fall for it, and admit things innocently.
Now A's pretty pissed off at D for yelling at her for no rhyme or fucking reason. great how nice to be misunderstood for the 295584098th time! Its not like i'm not used to it.

Conclusion:

Never trust guys with your secrets. They appear less gossipy than us girls, but they definitely have bigger mouths than us. No one else (except my girlfriends) will know anything about me, or my personal life ever.
The hypothesis should thus, be accepted.

And to B:
I'll let this off. And i'm sorry that the circle of trust between us have been broken. Somethings lost are lost forever. And i'm sorry if i've caused damages in your friendship between C and D. I'd rather we lose our friendship, than having you lose their friendship. You need brothers! Girls can't always be your life long friends. Since you guys always say "women are trouble".

And to C & D:
I'm sorry that you guys got yelled at. But secrets are not called secrets for nothing.Somethings are better left unsaid. I hope things will go well between B and all of you. I'm sorry for the unnecessary disputes amongst the 3 of you and for living up to your universal brotherhood principle of
"women are trouble". It never was my intention to create a huge mess. I didn't expect things would turn out like that.

And with that, i rest my case.

And for people reading this, you won't know what the fuck i'm talking about unless you're B, C, or D.

To Zanarkand. from Final Fantasy 8? or issit 10?

inspired by all the pianist wannabes on youtube, i've decided to give recording a shot because i was really bored this afternoon.
haha. oh its really badly played. REALLLY bad.
You can sense that i played with no emotions, my timing is WAY OFF and...i hit many wrong keys.
YIKESSSSS.
But you know what, i play the piano best when i'm depressed. How ironic!

Little boys and girls, do not try this at home because you won't end up being a good pianist.

My Sassy Girl

And yes, i would play the exact same piece for a guy, even though i'm a bit of a feminist.

One of nicest korean movies i've watched. Erm..i've seen this movie about 4 times.

This number...

91.67

What is its significance??

Now, that's my score for the recent physiology test. i topped the entire lecture cohort in that module. Unfortunately, there's this other person who had this mark as well. =( But we're stilll kinda top right..amongst 200 students. That puts me in the 99th percentile!

Beat that nus muggers.

Now guess what, this was purely last minute studying. I think last min studying actually works for me eh. I think i perform better, and focus better when i'm under pressure. Whee

And..i've got a distinction and a credit for the modules i took at UNSW. Wheeeeeeee again

wow, this entry really is an ego booster

Looking back..

Isn't it funny that life seems to be moving so so fast, that you don't even realise it?

In the past, when we were teenagers, we were so into boybands, crappy bubble gum pop music. We had crap sense of dressing, we thought that having more than 1 ear hole is extremely cool. We never had to worry about what we wanna do in the future. We never had problems with guys in our lives, because they were non-existant. We took public transport, we ate at cheap places, nothing too fancy, we watched movie every single weekends. The only burden in our lives was to pass our final year exams. We lived life without much of an aim. We were practically enjoying every single bits of our adolescence.

Today, we worry about financial issues, our future, our relationship. We talk about job prospects, post grad courses, business plans, GMAT. We drive each other around, we talk about investments, stocks, the type of guys we want. We talk about sex, we bitch over coffee. We dress up and put make up. We wear heels and elegant earrings. We meet up for coffee instead of watching movies. We go for high-tea, we accompany whoever that needs company for their brazillian wax. We club occassionally, we meet new ppl. We go on dates, we talk about boyfriends. Quite a bit of burden in this phase. Is that why they call it mid-life crisis? eh no. sorry, not yet mid life. Mid life is about 40 plus right? pre-mid life crisis

In the future, we'll be talking about our colleagues who backstab us, we'll be bitching about our bosses, we'll be celebrating promotions instead of birthdays. We'll be meeting up for spa and manicure and taitai high tea. We'll be talking about our kids and how our stinky husband wouldn't help out in the household chore. We'll still be talking about relationships. We'll be talking about our new house, the latest insurance policy we bought, the kindergarten of our kids, the type of classes we wanna send our kids to, our maid who can't cook to save her life, our CPF shit, our housing loans. Thats really a hell lot of burden. This is Mid-life Crisis

My gawd, why does time seem to past so quickly??
18 years ago, i was this little girl, who enjoyed going to child care centre so much.
Who enjoyed her toys, but disliked sharing them with her younger brother
The typical only child syndrome- who gets whatever she wanted. Her parents gave her the best.
I had almost everything i wanted.
I never had to worry about anything at all, except my table ettiquette and organ classes.
18 years ago, my dad was my super best friend. We hung out all the time.
He would bring me to the Macdonalds at Serene Centre. Watch me play at the playground while he gets his weekly dose of milkshake.
He would always be the one assembling all the toys he bought for me. The train set, the lego set, the doll house, that motor car which i got and some other stuff.
We shared the bunk bed when my mom was in the hospital after she gave birth to my brother
He chose a girly wall paper for my room. Printed with flowers and dolls. Oh so pretty!
He always allowed me to buy whatever sweet i wanted, each time i fell sick. (oh that explains those fatty thighs you see in the pic! haha)
And he would always be the one responding to me, whenever i asked him whether my colouring was nice in those cute colouring books. I have tonnes of them!

This my friend, is my childhood.
After my brother came into the picture, somethings changed. And it pretty much sucked!

Little Grace

SIGH

SIGH

i've been sighing too much lately.
A lot of damn fucking things on my mind.
Losing sleep in some way or another.

Will someone offer me some benzodiazepine?

I need my coffee fix now

Feed the starving soul

Thats what i would describe weekends because usually on weekdays, i barely eat. I do eat, but you know, i eat weird meals at weird times.

So today was an excellent day.

Went to town, had a really good dinner at marche. Calamari for starters, steak for main and root beer & banana crepe for dessert. I didnt eat all those by myself! It was shared! Then, we went to Cold Storage for some good grocery shopping, and marks & spencers to stock up on good stuff (digestives, chocolate fingers, chips, fruit gums). Then we walked back to heeren, had coffee and cakes at Spinelli's.

I think Spinelli's has got the best tasting coffee and cakes. The fact that Starbucks is more commercialised and prevalent in many parts of Singapore does not make it the best coffee chain.
In terms of coffee, both use premium coffee beans, that i really know. Er..but starbucks beverages are too sweet for my liking. I don't know man! what's your take?

i like ppl who like coffee
