In Loving Memory of Sprite aka Pinky (1996 - 27th March 2008)

You will be dearly missed by all of us

Tribute To A Best Friend

Sunlight streams through window pane
unto a spot on the floor....
then I remember,
it's where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.
Our feet walk down a hall of carpet,
and muted echoes sound....
then I remember,
It's where your paws would joyously abound.
A voice is heard along the road,
and up beyond the hill,
then I remember it can't be yours....
your golden voice is still.
But I'll take that vacant spot of floor
and empty muted hall
and lay them with the absent voice
and unused dish along the wall.
I'll wrap these treasured memorials
in a blanket of my love
and keep them for my best friend
until we meet above.

You lit me up and hit me like bullets

The title of this post is taken from the song Bullets by one of my favourite bands, Vega 4

I realised i haven't been posting any entries nor pictures. I've tonnes of pictures which i would like to put up, after i've discovered the magical features of my nifty Canon Ixus camera.

That aside. I've finally gone to see a chiropracter for my stifling neck ache which had been badgering me for YONKS. No rewards for guessing, it was those chinese medical sort. 30 bucks for the chriopracter to loosen up the muscles ard my neck, which according to him is damn "tight"and that i should've visited him earlier. Right.

I did feel a bit better, albeit the excruciating pain when he applied pressure on the neck muscles. I could've sworn or elbowed him in his face. Alas, no pain no gain.

He gave me some funky medicine, enclosed in some queer microwaveable bag. I had this feeling he was just trying to earn more money. I could do without the meds actually, but he told me i'll recuperate faster. Who is he trying to kid. I'm in sales too okay!

So i heated up the bag of medicine this evening after my dinner. Oh gawd, i thought i was in for some chicken herbal soup. It did smell herbal, and not medicinal. Whatever it is, the aftertaste was fucking sick. I even succumbed to eating a sour plum to mask whatever shit taste that has lingered in my mouth. And this will go on for another 2 days. All that for $48. Which isn't exactly very cheap.

On Trends

Lately, i've succumbed to trends.

First being my purchase of Crocs BALLET PUMPS (not the clogs). Those pumps look like any decent shoes girls on the street would wear. Believe me, the only reason why ppl don't buy those is because of 5 alphabets C.R.O.C.S. In truth, those shoes are amazingly comfortable, albeit the not so fancy design. Give the designers/creators of crocs some credit will ya. I mean, these shoes are simple, and comfy. Anyone who knows me would know that i like things to be simple. Which is one hell of an irony, because my life is totally not that simple. And i don't happen to hate my life, if you're thinking of catergorical syllogism.

I like simple things
My life is not simple
Hence, i dislike my life.

WRONG.

Next up, I've succumbed to this Gossip Girl fever. I'm always so slow on jumping in bandwagons when it comes to TV dramas. I don't know why man. Maybe i never am quite convinced with the way ppl tell me how good the dramas on TV are, only i find out about it myself. Which is quite rare, since i hardly ever have the time. But once i think those dramas are kickass, i would magically find some time to go stream and watch them. Another irony yet again.

I've spent a massive amount of money on retail therapy in a span of 2 days. Close to $300. It's okay to indulge and reward yourself after working so hard! Since my good friend tells me, "you earn so much, why do you wanna keep so much money in the bank! go spend it". She's partially right. Spend it. But i would invest first.

Ever wondered if you're a save-spend person or a spend-save person.
Meaning, do you save up for something, then you spend. Or do you spend first, then save the remaining amount.

Or, are you the SPEND-SPEND person. It means, you've never heard of the word 'Save'

I aim to go gym 5 times a week, because i've been slacking really badly, and my gym buddy isn't even doing a proper job of motivating me. Annoying. Strange where he finds all the stupid motivation, which inadvertenly caused him to become so so bulky and beefy now.

I wish i was a more determined and driven person.

p/s: no more sappy posts from me from now on. i'm going through this healing process, and i'm starting to feel happier

Even The Birds Don't Sleep

I always thought about 6ish in the evening, birds fly back to their nest and go to bed.
However, what i heard just 1 min ago, proved me wrong. I actually hear birds chirping at this unearthly hour at 11.13pm. This is not the first time. Or it could just be that one nocturnal bird that refuses to go to bed.

Sidetrack a little, since i'm always being random. I could finally heave a sigh of relief at work, and tmr i'm taking the day off to relax, shop, gym.

The weather's been erratic lately. I even sleep without the fan, all cuddled under the duvet. It does feel like Sydney all over again.

Yes my friends, i'm random, but i hate randomness. I am a walking paradox, so watch your back. :)

Life feels abit better lately after i've ended and got over this whole stupid and ridiculous fiasco with Mr Cheater. I feel much liberated, less repressed, less angry, definitely happier. I knew i had to put a stop to this someday, but i guess this day came a little too late. Better late than never i say.

I will shop till i drop tmr.

Till then!

On randomness and routine

I absolutely abhor randomness. Not that it catches me by surprise, but it gives me this 'outta the blue' vibes. It is as though i'm easily dispensible, and taken granted for. Do i look like a fair-weathered friend to you?

Sigh.

Naturally, everybody wants to be cherished. And if he wants to talk to me over the phone, then jolly well make it a routine. That way, i don't feel EXASPERATED or distressed.

Today, i'm quite happy because 2 things happened

1) I found a $1 coin on the floor. Finder's keepers, losers weepers
2) I bought a $49 ergonomics special foam pillow to alleviate the neckache

The SOAB Ikea's ergonomics pillow, which i paid $12 for is nothing close to being ergonomics. Oh gawd. I can't believe i paid money to get a neckache. Don't ever buy! Might as well pay me, then i'll do a karate-chop on your neck if you ever need a GOOD neckache

Ever since this horrifying experience, I've learnt my lesson and decided to invest in a good pillow. The sales promoter told me this pillow can last for 4-5 years. We shall see. As though i'm not in sales myself, this is clearly a crap sales talk. It's ironic how i'm doing sales myself, and yet i believe in sales talk, even though i clearly know it is CRAP.

oh how bizarre.

Today, 2 things happened too

1) I used cold hard cash to invest in a Middle East fund
2) I bought another endowment which matures when i'm 60 years old.

Also, I never quite like the taste of beer. But i absolutely love Martinis and Magaritas.

I'm so random.

p/s: I caught Meet The Spartans. It was quite a no-brainer. Arghh. Thank goodness for the movie vouchers! I wouldn't pay money to catch that!
