What's In A Name?

Recently, i've made this observation that...

Most 'Michaels' or 'Mike' are cute. Heh :)

However, this statement would have to exclude
1. Michael Jackon
2. Nicholas Michael Koh (haha, sorry nicky, i know you beg to differ)

I quite like the name Michael. Sounds very authentic and has this classic touch to it. Just like how David is a nice name too.
And screw names like Jackon, Zen, Arason, Tommy, Kelvyn (and not Kelvin), all these weird irritating spellings. Yuck.

On a lighter note, I watched the movie Pride and Prejudice. It was an utter disappointment, albeit the nice scenary, settings, costumes, and most definitely accent. The plot wasn't as indept as the book. Everything in book was compressed in 2 hours. They missed out certain essence of the book. Everything was so fast moving. I mean, if they can make Titanic and LOTR 3 freaking hours long, why can't they make a classic that long as well.

It's no Romeo & Juliet this time. Star-crossed lovers, who do foolish crap because of family disputes. Capulet vs Montague. Its about pragmatism, practicality and just being plain down to earth. It's about following one's heart, going for who and what you one, without giving two shits about social stigma. That's true love. You don't bother about being judged for liking someone, whom others may not like, or see differently. Its that simple and pure. As long as the two are happy, nothing else matters.

On the other hand, Shakespeares works can be good reads, but sometimes, its a whole load of bollocks. Merchant of Venice (cutting a pound of flesh), Macbeth (stupid witchery). Maybe the better ones are like Othello.
