On Laziness

I can never phatom two things about me. One of which is my undying commitment to procrastination, and the other? my abhorrent laziness.

I truly wonder if laziness is brought about by genetic influence and/or environment factors. Frankly, i find my two brothers pretty lazy too, but i'm not as lazy as them. Its really weird i tell you.

Example 1:
Either one of my brothers would eat the packet of twisties in the fridge and leave like 2-5 of those stick-like twisties in the packet, and happily leave the packet of snack in the damn fridge. (Me: like hello! can you not tell between a fridge and a bin)
Conclusion: They're just too lazy to take 4 steps to the dustbin. Dingbats.

Example 2:
All of us (yes! including myself) we love cup noodles, because we don't have to wash up. 100 brownie points for cup noodles that come with disposable forks. Woo! The cup noodles always disappear before those packet noodles.

Example 3:
No one bothers refilling the toilet paper. Except my dad

Example 4:
My mom and I, we display our brute strength in squeezing the last bit of the toothpaste tube. Because we simply can't be bothered to take a new toothpaste from the cupboard. Thats when Daddy-O comes into the picture to refill stuff again. Haha

Example 5:
We really cannot be bothered to add ice to our water if we want them cold on humid days. Each of us in the family has a water bottle in the fridge, so we get cold water withouth having to use ice. And there are 2 cold-water theives in the house- Dad & Ben. They don't fill up their water bottles as religiously as me, hence, they always have to resort to crafty methods like drinking my water when i'm not at home. Mind ya! i always note the volume of water in my bottle!

Example 6:
I'm the only person at home that drinks water from the tap. Because, i'm too lazy to get them from the flask. I probably have a stronger immune system than the rest. Hah. Lets just hope no one poisons the water tank above my house.

Example 7:
My family irons the clothes only when we have to wear them. Not because we want to hang nicely pressed clothes in our cupboard. Haha. Hey! at least we iron our clothes!

So, you tell me, is laziness a result of genetic influence or external environment?

I love procrastinating, despite my stupid arian perfectionist trait. Weird huh. But of course, i'm not a last-minute person either. I just like to take things slow. Heh

Oh, and here's one rather funny story Bud told me. He said he usually washes his hair with the body soap, and i asked why. He told me its because everyone in the family is too lazy to buy shampoo. Hah! Talk about being lazy. His family takes the cake!
