A little reflection
Work has left me with little time to do reflections, to think about my own life. The only constant reminder i have from work is that life is very precarious.
I haven given much thoughts about my own personal life. What i want, where i stand and stuff like that, until today. I was asking myself, whether i could commit to one person like before. This was indeed a daunting question, that i couldn't bring myself to say 'yes' without any hesitation. This really isn't the old me i suppose. As of now, it's strange how i don't need anyone in my life. To me, the game of love seems a little tougher now. Not sure how you play it, but again, i'm always counting myself out. A good friend told me i should open my options, and not give up. Well, this may sound really (kinda) bad, but i think i'm turning into an Evan. Haha. Ppl who know her would know what i mean. She tries all ways to back out of relationships, and she's pretty much being happy single. Heh. We've lived up to the convent spirits (read: being nuns)
I don't know. Maybe i enjoy hanging out with different ppl, the fun of meeting new ppl, and not be stuck with one soul. I'm afraid this time, i would have to be the one who break hearts. I always believed in karma, especially when it comes to relationships. I'm glad i'm enjoying good karma now. I've got my heart broken, and now, i have the superior 'power' to break hearts, not something i would enjoy doing. Sigh. Who likes getting their hearts broken anyway? Back to good karma. I've met many ppl with so much to offer. It really gave me an entirely new perspective about dating and getting attached. No more college puppy love. We're talking about maturity and adulthood here. No more acts of foolishness like texting each other "what are you doing now?" every single day. That's just plain dumb if you ask me. It is about having good company, good dinner, nice stroll in the parks and good coffee/magaritas. And it could also be about going on vacations together. That's because you're financially capable of doing all that, you're not relaying on your folks for allowance. You see the difference?
The thing about experiencing this whole greener pasture thing kinda makes me a person who's hard to please. For i know that there's always a better catch out there, which is obviously why i don't see a need to settle down, even if the current catch is a fairly good one. That's just me and my mentality.
Because i haven't seen enough of the world yet.
On a lighter note, Dom passed his driving test on first attempt with only 6 demerit points. Damn fuckin' good if you ask me. And if you think his driving centre is anywhere but Ubi, hur. You're wrong. With the tester telling him he's a fast learner, and him, spending only 1.6K for the entire course, makes me realised how shitty a driver i am. The moron who took her test 4 times, scoring 18 points on her final attempt, spent close to 3k on the course, had someone parked for her the first time she drove out, pisses the hell out of all the drivers on the road, getting honked at billions of times. What else? I need to brush up on my driving!
Today, i went SimLim with Tim with the intention of getting a TV tube/transmitter, and the iPod earphones. Stupid Jeevan told me it costs $2 per pair. what nonsense. For one, i couldn't even find a shop that sells white earphones. And this stupid other shop tried to sell me an ipod earphones for $39 without a box. And the man still had the audacity to tell me its original. Grr. In the quest of looking for the earphones, i totally forgot about my TV tuner thing until i came out of my shower. What stupid luck. I'm sure i would've bought that if i remembered. But, i bought a pair of earrings again to add on to the collection. The earring count now stands at 42.
Then we walked around Bugis (which was insanely packed), i had sweaty bodies brushing against me at the market. EEYEW. And we had Taiwanese Bubble Tea. Damn starch balls. It was good nonetheless.
