On Crossroads in Life
In life, we're often faced with tough decisions. At that point of time, you wonder if you've made the right choice. A few years later, you look back, and you ponder on the same thought again.
There's only 1 life. Being the perfectionist, i want my life to be perfect. But we all know nothing's perfect. Life is definitely not a bed of roses. I'm often faced with the difficulty of making decisions, for i'm not the most decisive person on earth. It's because of the perfectionist in me, that makes making decisions a tough one. From the colour of shoes i want, to the apple products i wanna get, to the model of handphone i wanna get. All these, could take months for me to decide, because i don't wanna do something on impulse, only to regret after a while. (Like buying a stupid PDA. The biggest mistake EVER)
Somethings don't take long before we start to regret. (Eg: buying a top, only to realise 2 days later that it isn't very flattering on you) While others, take an extremely long time, before we see the light, only to realise what a stupid fool you've been all these while. (Eg: being that dillusioned love fool) Thus, the regret.
I've learnt so much in this life. I've learnt even more through all my vulnerable times, when i wasn't strong enough to take charge of my life. Now, i have indeed seen the light.
Alot of regrets in this life. I know we shouldn't ponder on them, it makes life less optimistic. But no harm done i suppose.
My Regrets In Life
- Not going abroad to study
- Studying in NUS
- Not going to SMU (biomed sci doesn't seem to be my cup of tea anymore)
- Falling in love in college (big time regret)
- Not being a good partner
- Not continuing with piano (big time also)
- Begging my parents to let me quit piano
- Messing up my own life because of 1 person
- Choosing XXX over XXX (fuckinggg regret!)
- Getting pissed drunk at Sky Garden, when Mike was there. Holy Shiiiit! The Unglam!
- Not realising that there are really greener pastures (guys with car, gentlemen, guys who engange in intellectual conversations, guys who treat girls like princess, guys who send girls to their doorstep, guys who plan perfect dates, guys who restore the faith in love of those jaded girls) yada yada
- Not being insistant about living in hall (i still get fucking pissed about this each time i think about it. Thanks alot Ma, for making my freshmen stint in NUS a shit one)
- And for that, i hope you sponsor my Post-Grad education, for it'll definitely be more exciting than living in NUS hostels (supposedly Sheares, i was accepted, but you didn't allow! And you told me to pay the accomodation fees by myself! And forkout the money for a laptop myself)
