Being 21
I never knew it would take such a short time for me to turn 21. Time flew by, too fast for me to even stop and think, is this for real? Things that happened when i was 16, seemed almost like last year. This is pretty scary. Everything from the good old days in KC, (all girls, and who the fuck gave a shit about guys then?), to my JC days, which weren't exactly that fun, probably i'm still not used to being in a mixed school, coupled with the A levels stress, didn't exactly make JC days as memorable as my convent days. I wish i could stay on in KC forever. By wearing my KC PE t-shirt and shorts gave me some form of consolation, that i'm still that convent girl, no matter what. I would gladly exchange anything for my sweet convent days.
What does it feel/take to be 21?
To me, being 21 means
- getting your first gold supplementary credit card, followed by a UOB mini
- to be able to drive a car
- getting your priorities right
- not believing in stupid fantasy love
- making sure you open your eyes wider when you look for a partner
- being independent
- going for coffee with friends, rather than watching a movie
- giving your parents monthly allowance after each pay cheque
- start planning for the future, and it definitely doesnt include marriage
- don't give a damn about marriage. Tell yourself, you're not going to get married at all
- listening to jazz when you're tired
- still reading chick lits/watching meteor garden
- finishing up the veggies
- getting laid (for some maybe)
- start planning for further education, like getting a masters overseas
- going on dates
- working out and look good (to save yourself)
