The wonders of SEM

SEM aka Scanning Electron Microscope made what was thought to be impossible in the 80s, so very possible. Below are some images captured using the SEM. And they are a beauty! These are the pictures that usually entice me to read magazines like Discovery. Oooh.

My favourite fly, the Drasophila aka fruit fly. I've done so much studies on them. From the colour of their eyes, to the shape of their wings, and the segments on their body. Everything. And they're quite a bitch to study.

And these, are erythrocytes aka Red blood cells. I like this picture alot.You could see the distinctive biconcave shape! Even my histology book doesnt have such nice pictures!


In case you're wondering, why did i put up all these? Well, these are just random images i got from a website. =)
